The Siouxland Chamber has changed the date of the RALLY FOR THE TRUTH. This will be taking place on Saturday, March 31st. Please pass the word on this. We will have time and locations details by tomorrow. Please repost to any friends you have given info to on the RALLY.

Weather was a potential concern and it was growing so large they want to move it outside.

THE SIOUXLAND CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WILL HOST A COMMUNITY RALLY IN SUPPORT OF BEEF PRODUCTS INCORPORATED ON THURSDAY AFTERNOON.

THE "RALLY FOR THE TRUTH...BEEF IS BEEF " EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE SIOUX CITY CONVENTION CENTER FROM 2PM UNTIL 4PM.

THERE WILL BE A FREE COOKOUT WHERE BPI'S LEAN FINELY TEXTURED BEEF WILL BE SERVED TO EVERYONE.

GOVERNORS AND REPRESENTATIVES FROM FIVE STATES INCLUDING IOWA GOVERNOR TERRY BRANSTAD WILL ATTEND.

BPI SUSPENDED OPERATIONS AT THREE OF THEIR PROCESSING PLANTS ON MONDAY AND REDUCED SHIFTS AT SOUTH SIOUX CITY BECAUSE OF NATIONAL NEWS STORIES AND SOCIAL MEDIA ATTACKS ON THEIR BEEF WHICH HAS ERODED THEIR CUSTOMER BASE.

THE COMPANY STANDS BY THEIR RECORD OF MAKING SAFE, HEALTHY GROUND BEEF FOR 20 YEARS AND WHOSE PRODUCT HAS BEEN SERVED IN OVER 300 BILLION MEALS WORLDWIDE IN THAT TIME.

Vice President Joe Biden has added a stop in Sioux City to his campaign swing through Iowa.
    

A spokesman for President Barack Obama's re-election campaign said Tuesday that Biden will meet Wednesday with campaign volunteers and other supporters.

The event will be closed to the public and press, and its location has not been released.

The Sioux City stop will come after Biden is expected to talk about the administration's manufacturing policies during a midday visit to a Davenport firm.

A WELL KNOWN MEMBER OF THE SIOUX CITY COMMUNITY HAS PASSED AWAY.  CLARENCE CARNEY DIED TUESDAY MORNING AT AGE 86.

CARNEY WAS INVOLVED IN A MULTITUDE OF ACTIVITIES IN SIOUX CITY.
HE WAS A TEACHER AND A COACH AT CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL. HE SERVED AS BOTH A SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER AND A STATE LEGISLATOR AND RAN FOR CONGRESS.

HE ALSO WAS A SPOKESPERSON FOR IOWA PUBLIC SERVICE AND WAS INSTRUMENTAL ON HELPING MAKE THE TYSON EVENTS CENTER AND RESTORATION OF THE ORPHEUM THEATER A REALITY.

HE SERVED AS THE ABU BEKR SHRINE POTENTATE IN 1995 AND WAS A MEMBER OF THE SHRINE SINCE 1961.

CARNEY WAS WELL KNOWN FOR HIS BOOMING VOICE. HE M'CEE'D COUNTLESS EVENTS OVER THE YEARS AND WAS THE VOICE OF THE SHRINE CIRCUS AND THE ALL AMERICA CONCERT BAND.

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR CLARENCE CARNEY ARE PENDING.
