LITTLE SIOUX RIVER LITTER

A Siouxland man could be a fined after he was caught on film dumping a truckload of trash into a river.

An unidentified man captured the photo and posted it on www.iowasportsman.com - drawing dozens of angry responses.

The man was later identified as 76-year-old Joe Linn of Correctionville. DNR officials met with Linn, who agreed to remove the materials from the Little Sioux River.

Dumping materials into rivers is prohibited by state law. It's unclear what penalties Linn might face.
