Members of the Woodbury County Sheriff's Office are putting their razors away during the month of November for a good cause.
Sheriff Dave Drew is allowing the male staff to grow their facial hair to help raise money for cancer prevention.
Drew says each staff member donated $20.00 to start their beard November 1st and $30.00 if they wanted to start a week early.
The sheriff says the fundraiser is off to a great start, and he's also come up with a way for female staff to participate:
At the end of November, one staff member will receive bragging rights for the best looking beard and one will end up with the worst looking moniker.
The Woodbury County Sheriff's Office is challenging other local law enforcement agencies to follow their no shave November.
