The American Red Cross serving Greater Iowa is on the scene across northwest Iowa continuing to help those affected by Friday night’s tornadoes.
On Saturday, 28 trained Red Cross disaster workers provided comfort and assisted those affected with their immediate needs.
Two emergency response vehicles from southern Minnesota arrived to assist volunteers with the delivery of meals and clean-up supplies.
Disaster workers also passed out several cardboard boxes to those who needed to pack items.
Sunday morning, volunteers departed from the Siouxland chapter around 10:30 to continue disaster assessment and to provide more hot meals and supplies.
It’s estimated the Red Cross will provide up to 1,000 meals on Sunday.
