HEELAN HIRES NEW SCHOOL PRESIDENT

Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools has hired a new president. He is James Tschann, (tuh-shawn) a Minnesota native with 35 years of experience in Catholic education in California and Minnesota.

Tschann served as president of Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego, a coeducational school of 1700 students, for the past 8 years. There he managed final construction of a new school and the physical move to the new building....something Heelan is currently undertaking.

He will succeed Dr. Dan Ryan who has served as interim president of Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools this school year.

Tschann will begin his role in the Heelan system by July 1st.
