Sioux City and Le Mars will soon be hosting meetings on developing a trail system through the Highway 75 corridor.

The Floyd River Valley Trail Study evaluates options to connect the communities of Sioux City, Hinton, Merrill and Le Mars by a bicycle and pedestrian trail.

The study examines three possible scenarios ranging from a current on-road route, to a future mainline route and possible future scenic route.

The Siouxland Regional Transportation Planning Association wil host first public input Meeting in the Gleeson Room of the Wilbur Aalfs Public Library at 6th and Pierce on Tuesday, March 12 from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m.

The second meeting will be held at the Wells Ice Cream Parlor at 115 Central Avenue NW in Le Mars on Tuesday, March 19 from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. The public comment period ends on April 26th.
