The President of the United Way of Siouxland has announced he is resigning his position.

Tim Stiles has officially resigned his 18-year position effective March 28th. Stiles  has accepted a position as Chief Operating Officer for the United Way of East Central Iowa in Cedar Rapids beginning April 1st.



Stiles has been involved with United Way for 26 years, starting in Wichita, Kansas, then Des Moines and the last 18 years serving his hometown here in Sioux City since September, 1994.

During that time Stiles established a subsidiary called the Le Mars United Way to serve Plymouth County
He also helped create the Siouxland Nonprofit Management Institute and worked with the Sioux City School District and Waitt Institute on anti -bullying efforts.



One last accomplishment will be the latest United Way campaign:



Stiles says he's proud how the United Way has become more than just a fund raising organization, but one that's involved in a wide range of community efforts.
