The "Require Presidential Leadership and No Deficit Act" passed by a 253-167 vote with 26 Democrats voting for the bill with majority Republicans.

Iowa 4th District Congressman Steve King co-sponsored the bill that would require President Obama to either submit a budget that balances within 10 years or offer a supplemental budget plan by April 1st that demonstrates when it would achieve balance:

King says he believes House Republicans will bring a budget to the floor that will balance in ten years:

Democrats say the legislation is a political gimmick, and it's sure to be ignored by the Democrats running the Senate.
