GALVA BLAST UNDER INVESTIGATION

Investigators are trying to determine what caused an explosion and fire at an ag plant near Galva, Iowa Wednesday evening.

The small explosion occurred at the American Natural Soy plant just before 5pm  Wednesday. No injuries were reported.

Galva Fire Chief Randy Vogt says the firefighters quickly extinguished the flames and spent a few hours monitoring the scene in case of flareups.

American Natural Soy is located about three miles south of Galva, in Ida County.
