ADAMS NEW UNICAMERAL SPEAKER

Lawmakers have elected York Senator Greg Adams as the new speaker of the Nebraska Legislature.

State Senators unanimously voted Adams into the position Wednesday after kicking off their 2013 session:



Adams was elected to the Legislature in 2006. He previously had served as the mayor of York. He has served as chairman of the Legislature's Education Committee, and replaces Norfolk Senator Mike Flood as speaker.
