The fifth annual Siouxland Missouri River Clean-UpĀ is scheduled for this Saturday, and it will have a Halloween theme.
There will be a special surprise for costume-wearing participants. Volunteers will be picking up trash and debris along the walking paths, storm water outfalls and parks on both sides of the river.
A bus will take volunteers to the Nebraska side and return them to the Sioux City side for lunch and a tour of the educational displays provided by the City of Sioux City, local business and organizations.
Cash prizes will be given to the school organizations that recruit the most volunteers. You may register at Sergeant Floyd Welcome Center Picnic Shelter from 8:30 to 9:00 A.M. Saturday.
Parking is available at the Sioux City boat ramp or in front of the Sergeant Floyd Welcome Center.
