A Sioux City man will serve two months in jail for selling unapproved erectile dysfunction pills.

Federal prosecutors say David Kempema was sentenced on one count of trafficking misbranded drugs with intent to defraud.

Court records show Kempema purchased two types of pills from India that hadn't been approved by regulators, and marketed them to customers online as Viagra and Cialis.

Prosecutors say he shipped the drugs using a fake return address from Costa Rica and continued selling them even after agents raided his business in 2010 and warned he was breaking the law.

Kempema acknowledged selling more than 3,700 pills to 95 customers and agreed to pay $23,000 in restitution.
