The license of a northwest Iowa funeral director who’d been convicted of theft and tax evasion has been reinstated.

55-year-old Mark Rohde of Kingsley, previously admitted embezzling nearly $180,000 from a former partner in a Le Mars funeral home.

His state funeral license was revoked in 2009 after he pleaded guilty to felony charges of theft and tax evasion.

The Iowa Board of Mortuary Science says in documents released Wednesday that Rohde had met all requirements it had set in 2009.
