DAKOTA COUNTY AUTHORITIES HAVE IDENTIFIED THE DRIVER OF A SEMI-TRAILER WHO WAS KILLED TUESDAY NIGHT WHEN HIS TRUCK COLLIDED WITH A TRAIN NEAR DAKOTA CITY, NEBRASKA.

THE DAKOTA COUNTY SHERIFF SAYS 75 YEAR OLD JAMES R. HUBBARD OF RURAL DAKOTA CITY WAS DRIVING THE SEMI THAT COLLIDED WITH THE TRAIN AT THE INTERSECTION OF US HIGHWAY 77 AND 190TH STREET.

AUTHORITIES SAY AUTOPSY RESULTS SHOWED THERE WAS NO ALCOHOL OR OTHER INTOXICATING SUBSTANCE IN HUBBARD’S BODY AT THE TIME OF THE CRASH.

THE IMPACT EJECTED HUBBARD FROM THE CAB OF THE TRUCK AND HE WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE.

THE ACCIDENT IS BEING INVESTIGATED BY THE DAKOTA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE AND THE NEBRASKA STATE PATROL.
