Talk Radio 1360 am – Sioux City, Iowa

KSCJ IS CO-SPONSORING ONE OF THREE PROPOSED DEBATES FOR THE IOWA GOVERNOR’S RACE BETWEEN INCUMBENT REPUBLICAN TERRY BRANSTAD AND DEMOCRATIC CHALLENGER JACK HATCH.

THE SIOUX CITY DEBATE WOULD BE THE FINAL ENCOUNTER BETWEEN THE TWO CANDIDATES ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 14TH AT THE ORPHEUM THEATER.

THE FIRST DEBATE IS SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 14TH AT THE IOWA STATE FAIR AND WOULD BE BROADCAST STATEWIDE ON IOWA PUBLIC TELEVISION.

THE SECOND WOULD BE SEPTEMBER 20TH IN BURLINGTON.

GOVERNOR BRANSTAD, WHO IS SEEKING A SIXTH TERM IN OFFICE, HAS ACCEPTED THE THREE DEBATE INVITATIONS.

STATE SENATOR HATCH HAS ACCEPTED THE THREE INVITATIONS, BUT IS PROPOSING SIX MORE DEBATES IN OTHER CITIES LIKE CEDAR RAPIDS.

HE IS ALSO SUGGESTING A DEBATE BETWEEN HIS YET TO BE NAMED RUNNING MATE AND LT. GOVERNOR KIM REYNOLDS.

BESIDES KSCJ, THE SIOUX CITY DEBATE WILL BE CO-SPONSORED BY THE SIOUXLAND CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, KTIV-TV AND THE SIOUX CITY JOURNAL.
