Talk Radio 1360 am – Sioux City, Iowa

South Dakota authorities are advising no travel on Interstate 29 and other highways in the area south of Sioux Falls because of flash flooding Monday evening.

Heavy rain created flooding along Interstate 29 south of Sioux Falls and on some nearby highways.

Water is over the south bound lanes of I-29 between exits 59 and 62, and traffic was being flagged through temporarily.

Other areas where flash flooding or high water has caused difficulties are on the I-29 on-ramps at the Canton exit, S.D. Highway 11 in the area of 259th and 274th, U.S. Highway 18 at S.D. 115; and S.D. 11 and on I-29 near the Lennox and Harrisburg exits..
