HIGHWAY 75′S NORTHBOUND LANES WERE CLOSED EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING THREE MILES SOUTH OF HINTON FOLLOWING A SEMI ROLLOVER.
THE PLYMOUTH COUNTY SHERIFF SAYS THE SEMI WAS HAULING HOGS ABOUT 3:40AM WHEN THE DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE TRUCK WHEN HE REACHED DOWN TO GRAB A BOTTLE OF POP.
THE TRUCK AND TRAILER WENT OFF THE MEDIAN TOWARDS A DITCH AND ROLLED WHEN THE DRIVER TRIED TO REGAIN THE HIGHWAY.
THE DRIVER, 23 YEAR OLD BENJAMIN TIMMERMAN OF OSMOND, NEBRASKA WAS NOT INJURED.
AT LEAST A DOZEN HOGS ON THE TRUCK DIED IN THE CRASH.
THE SHERIFF SAYS THE AREA WAS CLEANED UP AND HIGHWAY 75 NORTH REOPENED AROUND 9AM.
