SIOUX CITY POLICE ARE CONTINUING TO INVESTIGATE A ONE VEHICLE ACCIDENT THURSDAY NIGHT AT THE HAMILTON BOULEVARD I-29 NORTHBOUND OVERPASS.

POLICE SAY THEY FOUND THE S-U-V ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE OVERPASS WITH THE DRIVER UNCONSCIOUS AROUND 11:30PM.

INVESTIGATORS BELIEVE THE SUV WAS HEADED NORTH ON THE INTERSTATE WHEN IT VEERED RIGHT AND STRUCK A METAL GUARD RAIL ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE HAMILTON OVERPASS.

THE VEHICLE THEN SHOT ACROSS BOTH NORTHBOUND LANES AND STRUCK THE CONCRETE MEDIAN AND CAME TO REST.

THE DRIVER, 42 YEAR OLD MONTY HOGAN OF SIOUX CITY WAS TAKEN TO MERCY TRAUMA CARE WITH A HEAD INJURY.

HE REMAINS HOSPITALIZED AT MERCY.

POLICE ARE STILL INVESTIGATING WHAT LED TO THE ACCIDENT.
