WOODBURY COUNTY SUPERVISORS HAVE APPROVED THE HIRING PROCESS FOR PRIVATE CITIZENS WHO WILL SERVE AS SECURITY OFFICERS AT THE COUNTY COURTHOUSE.

SUPERVISORS CHAIRMAN GEORGE BOYKIN SAYS THE BOARD RECEIVED AN OPINION FROM THEIR ATTORNEY, DOUG PHILLIPS, THAT THOSE HIRED AS BOTH FULL AND PART TIME WORKERS WILL BE ABLE TO CARRY FIREARMS AND MAKE ARRESTS:

THE BOARD WILL HIRE ONE FULL TIME TEAM LEADER AND A POOL OF PART TIMERS TO FILL THREE PART TIME POSITIONS.
