NEBRASKA GOVERNOR DAVE HEINEMAN HAS SIGNED A BILL THAT WILL ALLOW SOME HEALTH INSURANCE PLANS IN THE STATE TO PROVIDE COVERAGE FOR SCREENING, DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER UNTIL THE INSURED CHILD IS 21 YEARS OLD.

HEINEMAN SAYS SIGNING THE BILL WAS PERSONAL FOR HIM, BECAUSE OF MEETING JACOB DEPENBUSCH, AN AUTISTIC BOY FROM LINCOLN, AT A PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCE IN 2010:
