A SIOUX CITY WOMAN SURVIVED A GUNSHOT WOUND TO THE HEAD THIS WEEKEND.

SIOUX CITY POLICE RESPONDED TO 1116 COURT STREET, APARTMENT 1 SATURDAY NIGHT AT 7:51.

OFFICERS LEARNED THAT 43 YEAR OLD PHUOC H. NGUYEN FIRED A RIFLE THROUGH THE WALLS OF THE RESIDENCE.

ONE OF THE BULLETS STRUCK 54 YEAR OLD HANG T. DUONG IN THE HEAD. SHE WAS TREATED AND RELEASED AT A LOCAL HOSPITAL.

A SEARCH WARRANT WAS SERVED AND THE FIREARM THAT WAS BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN USED WAS SEIZED.

NGUYEN WAS ARRESTED FOR RECKLESS USE OF A FIREARM, DISCHARGING A FIREARM IN CITY LIMITS AND ASSAULT WHILE PARTICIPATING IN A FELONY.
