A Sioux City businessman best known for selling the latest in home entertainment and electronics systems has died.

Vance Pflanz died Thursday after a long illness at age 75.

Pflanz was the owner and founder of the www.deaconblue.com store than bears his name…”Pflanz Electronics” on Pavonia Street.

Pflanz was nationally regarded as an expert in the technology industry, and his store was reknown as being the first in the area to offer cutting edge home entertainment systems and devices.

Funeral services for Pflanz are pending.
