A HOME OUTSIDE OF JACKSON, NEBRASKA IS A TOTAL LOSS AFTER AN EARLY MORNING FIRE.

DAKOTA CITY FIRE CHIEF CLINT RASMUSSEN SAYS FIREFIGHTERS WERE CALLED TO 969 170TH STREET AT 5:37 THIS MORNING.

UPON ARRIVAL, THE HOME WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES. NO ONE WAS INJURED IN THE FIRE, AS THE FEMALE OCCUPANT IS CURRENTLY AT THEIR OTHER HOME IN MISSOURI AND THE MAN WAS ALREADY AT WORK.

RASMUSSEN SAYS THE FIRE WAS CALLED IN BY A MOTORIST PASSING THROUGH THE AREA.

FIRE CREWS FROM DAKOTA CITY AND EMERSON REMAINED ON THE SCENE UNTIL 7:52 A.M.

THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE HAS NOT BEEN DETERMINED AT THIS TIME.
