THE ONLY DEMOCRAT RUNNING FOR THE U.S. SENATE IS BRUCE BRALEY OF WATERLOO.

LOCALLY IN THE STATE SENATE, JIM FRANCE AND MARIA RUNDQUIST WILL FACE EACH OTHER IN A DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY FOR STATE SENATE DISTRICT 7.

THEY EACH RAN UNSUCCESSFULLY FOR THE CITY COUNCIL LAST YEAR.

WHOEVER WINS IN JUNE WILL FACE INCUMBENT REPUBLICAN RICK BERTRAND IN NOVEMBER.

INCUMBENT REPUBLICAN BILL ANDERSON OF PIERSON IS UNOPPOSED IN THE DISTRICT 3 STATE SENATE RACE.

LOCALLY, IN THE IOWA HOUSE, ONLY INCUMBENT DEMOCRAT DAVID DAWSON FILED TO RUN FOR DISTRICT 14 SEAT.

INCUMBENT REPUBLICAN RON JORGENSEN WAS THE ONLY PERSON TO FILE FOR DISTRICT 6.

INCUMBENT DEMOCRAT CHRIS HALL WILL BE OPPOSED BY REPUBLICAN NICK NOYES ON THE NOVEMBER BALLOT FOR THE HOUSE DISTRICT 13 SEAT.

REPUBLICAN INCUMBENT CHUCK SODERBERG OF LE MARS IS UNOPPOSED IN DISTRICT 5.
