THE INVESTIGATION OF MONDAY’S GLEN OAKS APARTMENT FIRE IS CONTINUING.

CITY FIRE MARSHALL MARK AESOPH SAYS AS OF EARLY TUESDAY AFTERNOON, NO ONE HAD GONE INTO THE BUILDING REMNANTS BECAUSE THE BUILDING WAS NOT DEEMED SAFE TO ENTER.

12 OF THE 24 APARTMENTS SUSTAINED MAJOR DAMAGE AND THAT SIDE OF THE STRUCTURE PARTIALLY COLLAPSED.

THE OTHER 12 APARTMENTS WERE PROTECTED BY A FIREWALL, BUT SUSTAINED SMOKE AND WATER DAMAGE.

THE FIRE STARTED IN A SECOND FLOOR APARTMENT.

ALL OF THE RESIDENTS SAFELY ESCAPED THE FIRE.
