RESIDENTS OF HULL, IOWA ARE BEING ASKED TO CONSERVE WATER. CITY ADMINSTRATOR LES VAN ROEKEL DECLARED A WATER EMERGENCY IN THE SIOUX COUNTY TOWN BECAUSE OF THE RECENT DRY CONDITIONS:

UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, HULL RESIDENTS ARE PROHIBITED FROM WATERING THEIR LAWNS AND GARDENS, WASHING THEIR CARS AT HOME, OR FILLING PRIVATE SWIMMING POOLS.

VAN ROEKEL SAYS THE CITY IMPLEMENTED THE RESTRICTIONS TO INSURE THEY HAD ADEQUATE WATER FOR EMERGENCY USE SUCH AS FIRES.
