SC POLICE INVESTIGATE INFANT DEATH

 SIOUX CITY POLICE SAY THEY ARE INVESTIGATING THE DEATH OF A 6 MONTH OLD CHILD.

POLICE SAY THEY RESPONDED TO A CALL AT A NORTHSIDE IN-HOME DAYCARE LAST THURSDAY OF A CHILD NOT BREATHING.

6 MONTH OLD PEYTON POTTEBAUM WAS TRANSPORTED TO ST. LUKE’S HOSPITAL WHERE MEDICAL STAFF DISCOVERED THAT HE HAD SUSTAINED A SERIOUS INJURY.

POTTEBAUM WAS THEN TRANSFERRED TO OMAHA CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL WHERE HE DIED SATURDAY.

THE IOWA MEDICAL EXAMINER PERFORMED AN AUTOPSY MONDAY.

POLICE SAY THEY ARE AWAITING THOSE RESULTS AND NO CHARGES HAVE BEEN FILED IN THE CASE. THE INVESTIGATION IS CONTINUING.
