SIOUX CITY POLICE ARE GETTING IMPROVED TECHNOLOGY IN THEIR PATROL CARS.

THE DEPARTMENT IS PURCHASING 36 STATE OF THE ART IN-CAR COMPUTERS FROM ROCKWELL COLLINS OF CEDAR RAPIDS.

CHIEF DOUG YOUNG SAYS THE COMPUTERS WILL PROVIDE BETTER SAFETY FOR OFFICERS:

THE NEW COMPUTERS COST 468-THOUSAND DOLLARS AND WERE APPROVED ON A 5-0 VOTE BY THE CITY COUNCIL.
